Extremely Creative, talented, elegant, teacher, intuitive, and very classy are just a few of the words I can use to describe Kersh. It was an honor to have worked with him. He was a mentor and brought out a quality performance from me in Raid on Entebbe. He could tell a story with just the use of a camera….no need for words. Even years later we have remained friends. He really did work from love. His viewpoints with each shot of film were just super. I even got to write an extra scene with him which he had me perform on film. It was great to work with him then,as I would have loved to work with him again. I miss him like many do…his legacy the major contributions to film…and even more his friends whom he cared about. There was only one Kersh. He was a jewel of a man and an inspiring artist and director.

JIm and I are honored to have been touched by Kersh and his extraordinary life experiences. Such a graceful, creative, thoughtful talent will be missed by so many people.

Kersh came to Colorado to help us convince the legislature that we needed better film incentives. He was generous with his time and his wisdom and he shared interesting experiences with the students at the Colorado Film School over many years. Here is one absolutely fabulous interview taken at CFS that you can watch online:
